| Five Cocktail Trends for 2018 |

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits identified the top cocktail flavor and ingredient trends heading into 2018, following an extensive tasting tour across the U.S. led by an expert team of national sales staff and mixologists. The Company visited 55 of the top mixology and restaurant bars in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago and tasted nearly 250 cocktails.
“For today’s bars and restaurants, competitive and operational cost pressures continue to intensify, so building or maintaining a strong beverage program has never been more important to stay competitive and improve profitability,” said Brian Masilionis, Southern Glazer’s Director, National Accounts, who compiled the flavor trend research. “Not only can they offer high profit margins, but unique, trend relevant beverages that are tailored to a concept’s brand can also help differentiate themselves from competitors to drive guest loyalty.”
