Greenworks Commercial trimmer awarded for versatility

Greenworks Commercial was awarded the “Best Cordless String Trimmer” award from Popular Mechanics magazine for its GT 161 Attachment Capable String Trimmer.

Touted for its versatility, the GT 161 allows landscape professionals to have one tool that can take on a plethora of jobs with its universal attachment capable base. Transforming the tool with commercial grade attachments — whether it is used as a string trimmer, hedge trimmer, pole saw, edger or even a cultivator — allows professionals to save time and energy in the way they work. Plus, with an aggressive 16-inch cutting path, the GT 161 cuts through even the toughest of brush.

“Its explosive power gives it the muscle of a gas-engine machine for mowing down the tall stuff and scything through weeds and saplings,“ said Roy Berendsohn, Senior Home Editor of Popular Mechanics. “If your trimming requirements are on the heavy end of the spectrum, then a model like the GT 161 could be ideal.”

“For the GT 161 to be recognized by such a well-respected organization really shows that our lithium-ion outdoor powered equipment truly offers real gas-replacement performance,” said Tony Marchese, vice president of Sales and Operations – Commercial Business Group for Greenworks North America. “We are proud of this award, but of course, the greatest awards we receive are the numerous positive testimonials we get from hard working men and women in the field every day that speak to the performance benefits and cost savings of going cordless.  We look forward to continuing to serve landscape professionals throughout North America and help lead their transition from fossil fuel powered tools by producing products that not only meet, but exceed, the performance of gas-powered equipment.”
