March wholegoods revenue finds growth at Northeast dealerships
Exclusive data for Outdoor Power Equipment magazine readers from Constellation Data Solutions, a division of Constellation Dealership Group, shows Same Store Sales results at outdoor power equipment dealerships for the month of March. The composite data is pulled from dealerships that use Constellation’s Ideal and c-Systems DMS brands. The Same Store Sales data compares March 2020 vs. March 2019 at 1,176 independent servicing OPE dealerships.
Despite the coronavirus pandemic, March U.S. wholegoods sales declined by just 4 percent overall vs. March 2019.
Here’s the March wholegoods revenue breakdown by region:
West — 2 percent decrease
Midwest — 6 percent decrease
Northeast — 1 percent increase
South — 4 percent decrease
USA — 4 percent decrease
Canada — 22 percent decrease
And here’s a closer look at the percentage of dealership locations broken down by wholegoods revenue gains and losses:
West — 56 percent down; 44 percent up
Midwest — 61 percent down; 39 percent up
Northeast — 57 percent down; 43 percent up
South — 55 percent down; 45 percent up
USA — 57 percent down; 43 percent up
Canada — 67 percent down; 33 percent up
