Governor’s request leads to voluntary closure of dealerships

Some outdoor power equipment dealerships in one state have decided to voluntarily close their doors, per their governor’s request to close non-essential businesses.

M&R Power Equipment Group in Hermitage and Butler, Pennsylvania, notified customers of the closure of both locations until March 30.

In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, Gov. Tom Wolf has strongly urged nonessential businesses across the state of Pennsylvania to close for at least 14 days.

Other dealerships are opting to keep their doors open. AJ’s Outdoor Power Equipment, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, said that the shop, located in Mansfield, is operating under normal hours.

Nolt’s Power Equipment in Shippensburg provided this information on its Facebook:

Fletcher’s OPE in Delmont also is keeping the doors open.
