West Cork To Re-Release Black Reserve Irish Whiskey

What was supposed to have been a special release is back by consumer demand.

West Cork Distillers has announced the re-release of their Black Reserve Irish Whiskey in 2018. After completely selling out of the 4,800 bottles imported into the U.S. last year, consumer demand prompted the company to release another 4,800 bottles into this market next year.

West Cork Black Reserve is made by blending malted (36%) and un-malted grain whiskey, aged in Bourbon Casks, for 4-to-5 years before being finished in lightly toasted, heavily charred #4 first-fill bourbon casks for an additional six months. This process produces a slightly smoky, vanilla-rich sweet whiskey, the company says. It’s bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof).

West Cork Distillers Black Reserve Irish Whiskey will retail for $39.99 per 750-ml. bottle, throughout the U.S.

Founded in 2003, West Cork Distillers’ core line of whiskeys includes its much-awarded Bourbon Cask Blended Irish Whiskey and 10-Year Single Malt Irish Whiskey.
