Tri-County Equipment Sales & Service Bolsters its Equipment Roster after Loss of John Deere

Tri-County Equipment Sales & Service in Crossville, Tennessee, has announced on its Facebook page that it is no longer a John Deere dealer, effective March 15 of this year. The company had been a John Deere dealer since 1977.

However, writes company owner Clifford Pugh: “Tri-County Equipment will be taking on Simplicity lawn mowers and Ferris Zero-Turn homeowner and commercial mowers. We will have Yanmar compact utility tractors, and Schulte rotary cutters, with a few other brands in negotiation and announcements coming soon. The brands may be different, but the service will remain the same.

“We will continue to serve our loyal customers with the same superior service they have become accustomed to,” he continues, “as the vast majority of our employees are staying with us and they have always been our best asset.”

Pugh notes that he was the last single-store John Deere dealership in Tennessee for the past four years. “In recent years,” he says, “John Deere has pushed to consolidate their single store dealers in favor of those that own multiple (corporate) locations.”
