New Hurricane P2000 Stand-On Blower, SC240HG Hydro-Drive Sod Cutter from Billy Goat

Billy Goat, a Briggs & Stratton brand, has expanded its Hurricane portfolio with the Hurricane P2000 stand-on blower, and it has expanded its sod cutter offerings with the addition of a 24-inch-wide SC240HG Hydro-Drive Sod Cutter.

Like the full-size Hurricane X3000 and Z3000, the new, compact Hurricane P2000 features a Dual Deflector Air Flow System and undercut discharge that is manually adjustable on both the left and right for directing the twin air columns at the best angle for the most efficient cleaning. A convenient foot pedal on the operator platform allows quick switching of air output from the left to the right side when turning and the unit easily fits through a 36-in. gate.

The unit is powered by a commercial 18 gross hp twin Vanguard engine that provides speeds of up to 8 mph. An optional LED headlight, ideal for extending the work day, is optional; also optional is a pavement tire with tread wrap-around to increase maneuverability and extend life on hard-surface applications. CFM: 3,500.

The new 24-inch-wide SC240HG Hydro-Drive Sod Cutter features a heavy-duty drive and cut system with a laser clad cutting blade for 3x blade life. It also features an easy-to-use Set and Forget blade-depth adjustment, enabling operators to simply adjust depth to 2.5 inches with a single lever from the operator station. The unit comes standard with a rear caster wheel for curved cuts, which locks when straight cutting, and knobby tires for softer touch, shallow cut bent grass applications. Handle isolation mounts absorb vibration and offer smooth, fatigue-free operation.
