Service department gains on average in June revealed

Exclusive data for OPE Business magazine readers from Constellation Data Solutions, a division of Constellation Dealership Group, shows Same Store Sales results at U.S. outdoor power equipment dealerships for June.

The composite data is pulled from dealerships that use Constellation’s Ideal and c-Systems DMS products. The Same Store Sales data compares June 2020 vs. June 2019 at 1,188 independent servicing OPE dealerships.

In the U.S., OPE dealership service departments at Constellation DMS dealerships experienced an average increase of 16% during June.

Dealers in the South region experienced an average 24% service department revenue increase in June vs. June 2019, while the West had a 19% increase. Dealers in the Midwest saw a 13% service department sales increase during June and dealers in the Northeast had a 9% rise.

The percentage breakdown by dealerships that were up vs. down in their service department for June is as follows:

West: 53% up; 47% down

Midwest: 55% up; 45% down

Northeast: 56% up; 44% down

South: 59% up; 41% down

USA: 57% up; 43% down
