SGWS Names New Senior Vice President, Supply Chain

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has promoted Stephanie Silvestre to Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, effective January 1, 2020.

In her current role as Vice President of Supply Chain Planning and Logistics, a position she has held since July 2016, Silvestre has managed all aspects of product acquisition, inventory, logistics, forecasting and analytics.

“As the leader in the industry, Southern Glazer’s continues to refine and enhance our supply chain capability for the future,” says Bobby Burg, SVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer. “Stephanie brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to the function, enabling us to continue to implement best practices and strategically leverage our logistics expertise to deliver added value for customers and suppliers.”

Continuing to report to Silvestre in her new role are Andrew Vermilion in Replenishment, Logistics and Analytics and Tracey Friend in Sales and Operations Planning.

“Stephanie’s ability to foster collaborative teams and drive innovation is one of the reasons we’ve been able to maintain our reputation for supply chain excellence,” adds Lee Hager, Executive Vice President, Secretary and Administration. “Throughout her almost nine-year tenure with Southern Glazer’s, Stephanie has played an integral role as a Supply Chain Management resource, leading the ideation and execution of both the Southern Supply Center and the Southern Glazer’s Consolidation Center, as well as more recently, spearheading the Company’s S&OP process design and implementation along with our commercial partners.”

Prior to joining Southern Glazer’s, Silvestre worked for General Electric for five years, where she participated in its Senior Leadership Program. She is also an inaugural member of Southern Glazer’s first Exceptional Leadership Program, the company’s leadership development program. She is an Engineering graduate of Purdue University.
