Orphan Barrel Announces 26-Year-Old Scotch Release

Diageo’s rare-whiskey line Orphan Barrel has unveiled its latest release: Orphan Barrel Forager’s Keep Single Malt Scotch 26 Year Old.

The aged liquid comes from Pittyvaich, a Speyside distillery that closed in 1993 amidst the global Scotch nadir. The distillery had been open for only 18 years before shutting its doors.

Forager’s Keep has aromas of fruit and freshly cut, crisp red apple, the company says, which give way to a vanilla creaminess with orange peel and a hint of wood spices before a sweet finish.

Bottles are now available for pre-order on a first-come, first-serve basis. The cost is $399.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

This product is only available for delivery in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, IL, LA, MD, MA, MI, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NY, ND, SC, TX, WI and WY.

Orphan Barrel Forager’s Keep Single Malt Scotch 26 Year Old will hit retail shelves in early summer 2019.
