Avuá Bálsamo Aged Cachaça

Avuá Cachaça has introduced a new expression to its range of cachaças named after the woods they aged in – Avuá Bálsamo Aged Cachaça.

The spirit is aged for up to two years in bálsamo hardwood native to South and Central America. These trees impart herbaceous aromas and slightly astringent flavors, the company says, plus minerality, citrus and bitterness.

Avuá Bálsamo Aged Cachaça is 40% ABV. It’s available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $49.99 per 750-ml. bottle.

Enjoy in classic cachaça cocktails such as a Rabo de Galo, herbaceous gin-based cocktails or sipped neat. Additionally, pair a neat pour with a cold beer to experience a tabelinha by alternating sips of cachaça and beer.

Situated in the hills of Carmo near Rio de Janeiro, Avuá Cachaça begins in the single-estate sugarcane fields, and is produced by one of Brazil’s few female distillers.
