DISCUS Appoints New Top Finance Executive

The Distilled Spirits Council has named veteran Washington, D.C. finance executive Charles (Chuck) Wellard, CAE, as senior vice president of finance and administration.

Wellard most recently served as the senior vice president of operations for the American Bakers Association, and assistant secretary and treasurer for the International Baking Industry Exposition. Prior to ABA, Wellard served in financial leadership roles at the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington and the National Children’s Center.

“With more than two decades of finance experience in Washington D.C., we are excited to bring Chuck aboard as we modernize the business functions of the association,” says Distilled Spirits Council Interim CEO Clarkson Hine.
