EDP Acquires Harbor Point Energy Products

Energy Distribution Partners announced the acquisition of Harbor Point Energy Products headquartered in Frankfort, New York. Harbor Point Energy, which was founded in 2007, provides a full range of energy products and services to nearly 6,000 customers across seven counties in East Central New York. Principal owner John DesJardins has a long history in the energy industry and will remain with the company to spearhead the transition. All Harbor Point employees will join EDP.

EDP is actively seeking to expand its national footprint and diversify through the addition of new retail propane and light fuels operations. Chicago, Illinois-based Energy Distribution Partners provides propane service to residential and commercial customers in 16 states. It pursues a long-term strategy of purchasing/partnering with operations in propane and other fuels and in the midstream energy sector, retaining the brand name, preserving local management and delegating to leaders in local communities.
