  1. I remember when Stihl smooched the dealers with new display decor that prohibited better products from space sharing. Was it a matter of time before they set their sights to oust the dealer’s mower loyalties. Slippery slope. Lastly, has anyone questioned the statement by Briggs that they have known for years that they “design, engineer, and manufacture the best zero-turn mowers on the market”. Oh.

    1. Briggs and Stratton power products manufactures ferris and snapper already. They are great mowers but Briggs engines less than 30hp aren’t worth a darn. People will buy solely based on the stihl name while not understanding stihl nor Briggs manufactures transmissions, carburetors, blades, belts, bearings or electrical components on the units. What a shame the American consumer has become

  2. A B/S manufactured Stihl zero turn…I’ll pass. When Redmax came out with a zero-turn, my thought was the same and I haven’t seen any major companies running them either.

  3. I have a Ferris 700, bought in 2014.
Had to replace the Briggs engine, because the 2
Halves of the block wouldn’t stay together. Only had 130 hrs, but Briggs would not replace under warranty because the time period was exceeded. Didn’t even consider another Briggs, went Kawasaki.

  4. The new sthil mowers are just Ferris mowers with a few changes
G/S owns Ferris , get the mower with a Kawasaki engine ,I have
A Ferris is1500 made in 2008 with a commercial kaw engine 44 in cut run like a champ , tough machine though you have to take care it it
