Exmark Launches Powered-up 2022 Radius X-Series Zero-Turn

Exmark has launched its updated 2022 Radius X-Series zero-turn riding mower. The new machine features a 31-hp Kawasaki twin-cylinder engine, making it the most powerful Radius model Exmark has produced.

“Radius models have always offered a compelling combination of productivity, cut quality, durability and value,” says Jamie Briggs, director of marketing. “With more power, the 2022 Radius X-Series better meets the needs of growing landscape contractors with heavy cutting conditions, as well as home and acreage owners with large areas of grass to mow.”

The new Radius is equipped with a 60-inch UltraCut Series 4 cutting deck, which features a high-capacity 5.5-inch deep, side-discharge design. The UltraCut Series 4 cutting deck features Exmark’s exclusive Flow Control baffles while the mower’s Lazer Z-style deck strut isolation technology is designed to eliminate sway, ease deck-height adjustment and increase operator comfort by reducing vibration.

The mower’s Kawasaki FX921V engine features an overhead V-valve design with three valves per cylinder, with pressurized lubrication and a high-efficiency oil cooler, resulting in the performance and reliability landscape professionals need, notes Exmark. The engine was designed for use on commercial zero-turn mowers, with a metal engine cover with integrated clean out ports, heavy-duty shift-type starter and multi-stage canister style air filter.

Other features on the 2022 Radius X-Series zero-turn include:

  • The high-capacity integrated Hydro-Gear drive system offers infinitely variable ground speeds of up to 10 mph. Large caster tires and aggressive 24-inch Kenda drive tires offer increased traction, ground clearance and stability.
  • The heavy-duty unibody frame is fully welded of 2 x 3-inch rectangular steel frame tubes for maximum strength and durability. The frame design places the heaviest components – including the engine, fuel tank and hydro drive system – lower in the frame for improved balance, resulting in increased stability, traction and maneuverability.
  • An isolated floor pan reduces the vibration and noise felt through the operator’s feet, while Exmark’s full-suspension operator seat suspends the operator atop three inches of travel. The seat features an Elastomeric Vibration Control foam base and plush seat foam to deliver all-day comfort.

Additional features: maintenance-free sealed bearing blade spindles; digital hour meter; window-style fuel gauge; and integrated hitch and jack receiver (jack sold separately).
