At the one-day Plawn Shop event, which took place Saturday, April 9, in Grapevine (about 30 miles north of Dallas), customers were able to bring in their old lawn mowers and trade them for a 20-percent discount on a new Automower robotic mower. The Plawn Shop showcased the company’s Automower robotic mower portfolio, featured demonstrations and product walk-throughs, plus provided a first look at Husqvarna’s new Automower 415X mower. In addition, two lucky attendees received a free Automower. The Plawn Shop event took place at the Town Square Gazebo on Main Street.

In addition, Husqvarna announced it is hosting an Automower Sweepstakes on Instagram, giving customers an additional chance to trade up. Three Grand Prize winners will be randomly selected to win a Husqvarna Automower and free installation; 25 First Prize winners will receive Husqvarna limited-edition merchandise and 20-percent off a new Automower. Sweepstakes is open to the public, April 7-30, no purchase is necessary for entry.

The new Automower 415X targets mid-size lawns averaging 1/3-acre. It features automatic passage handling, GPS-assisted navigation, slope control, frost sensor, Firmware-Over-the-Air (allows users to update software via the app) and TargetHeight – a new function that helps improve the lawn quality by automatically adjusting the cut height to meet the set target. Husqvarna says the Automower 415X will be available in May.
