Other than the pandemic, alcohol ecommerce has been the dominant trend of 2020. Customers forced home by lockdowns — and then later by fear of catching the virus — have increasingly embraced digital options for ordering beer, wine and spirits. This has coincided with the rise of digital delivery. Alcohol purchases now are no different — and no less convenient — than buying household items on Amazon. Spurred by the pandemic, ecommerce has evolved rapidly. Trends that appeared years off are happening right now. Which begs the question: if we have fast-forwarded into the future, then what comes next? How about TV shopping for alcohol? How about a QVC for booze?

Wholesaler: Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits
Location: Miramar, FL
Overview: The Occupational Health and Sustainability Director will work under the direction of the VP of EHS to enhance and execute Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits (SGWS) environmental and industrial hygiene standards. This role involves activities that include, but are not limited to, general industrial hygiene plans such as hearing conservation, indoor air quality, respiratory, hazardous chemicals, asbestos, and mold management, in addition to occupational health program such as injury response (first aid/CPR/AED), ergonomics, bloodborne-pathogens, and personal protective equipment. S/he will research and prepare actions to eliminate or control health hazards, and advise senior leadership on performing in-depth monitoring, testing, and field sampling for those health hazards, when warranted. Under the direction of the VP of EHS, the candidate will lead and manage all occupational health and industrial hygiene program objectives as well as manage SGWS’ environmental compliance and sustainability |
