This month, Powersports Business contributor Mark Sheffield, a former dealer principal who now steers dealership owners in the right direction as a 20-Group facilitator for Spader Business Management, provided dealers with the run down on credit card fees. Sheffield discussed credit card processing categories, how to reduce the cost of accepting credit cards and companies that can help reduce credit card usage.
Sheffield also joined the speaker lineup at the Accelerate Conference that took place last month. Dealers who attended discussed highlights of the conference and what they were able to bring back to their dealership with them. It was a great three-day conference full of energy, fun and a great deal of insight.
November highlights included family-owned dealerships and acquisitions as a common theme. Both an iconic Harley-Davidson dealership and a family-owned dealership of 76 years were acquired. A fourth-generation family-owned dealership acquired its third location as well.
